November 4th, 2020
2020 November 4th, the TransFollow API has been updated and the new Android version of the TransFollow App for Android has been made available in the Google Play Store.
- Offline warning in signing process when you are offline, or in airplane mode.
When the device of the user of the TransFollow App is offline, the TransFollow App will give the following warning; ‘No connection, changes will be stored and uploaded to TransFollow once reconnected’. Upon the moment the device has a connection to the internet again, the TransFollow App will automatically synchronize the data.
- Force Carrier to Sign-On-Glass in Sign-On-Glass process
During the signing process using Sign-on-Glass, previously only the consignor and consignee were asked to place their signature on the device of the driver. With the latest deployment, the carrier can also be requested to place their signature on the device as part of the signing inspections and signing process.
This setting is not enabled by default. It has to be enabled by the issuer of the freight document.
Using the ‘Access Code’ by the carrier, the signature of the carrier was already required, but this is also now possible when the carrier is logging in with a TransFollow account.
- Order number shown on Freight Document overview
In the overview screen of all freight documents in the TransFollow Portal, the order number is now being added to the information displayed. The order number has been placed under the Authority Reference number.
It is also possible to use the search functionality to search for a specific freight document corresponding with this order number, but please note that the search functionality will search through all of the documents containing these characters.
- Subaccounts more clearly indicated
In the TransFollow Portal, the buttons, titles and information on how to manage your subaccount has been clarified. Instead of user the terms ‘Account’, we clearly indicate everything with ‘Sub-Account’.
- Various fixes on the TransFollow App and improvements on the API stability
- PDF link in Freight Document ‘GET’ no longer present
For security reasons, the PDF document of the Freight Document is no longer available when using Integrations with an API connection to TransFollow. It is still possible to view or share the PDF document of the freight document while using the TransFollow App.
- GLN Code added to Account, will be returned in submitter object on Freight Documents
Global Location Number (GLN) can be used by companies to identify their locations or their organisation(s). Through this addition the submitter account will be indicated by its GLN Code in the freight document response, so a carrier with eCMR’s from different submitters can easily search for documents that originated from one specific submitter.
