René Bruijne leaves TransFollow
After having served TransFollow as General Manager for five years, René Bruijne has decided to leave the company effective March 1, 2020. René joined Viaservice in 2016 through the acquisition of TransFollow from the Dutch company Beurtvaartadres where he was CEO for over 12 years.
“Logistics is data-driven” – René Bruijne has always been convinced that the future of the logistics sector lies within using data to optimise processes and find innovative business services. This is the idea behind TransFollow, the standard of the e-CMR.
“After a very successful year of 2019, TransFollow now enters a new phase” René explains. “The industry has progressed tremendously over the last 4 years from listening and talking about the advantages of digitising CMR documents to implementing digital transitions. Reaching this important phase of the market adoption, I feel that I have accomplished the mission I started in 2004”
Rene started in TransFollow with the goal of eliminating paper within the supply chain and was closely involved in drafting and promoting data sharing and e-CMR within European supply chain. In 2016, the company was acquired by Viaservice with the objective of getting the e-CMR accepted and implemented in the CMR countries. René played a key leadership role during that period which had been crucial for the advocacy and adoption of the e-CMR in the supply chain. Viaservice would like to congratulate and truly thank René for his dedication and contributions, especially for helping to bring the business of TransFollow to the next level. René has been key for TransFollow and will be missed by the team.
To ensure a smooth follow up Viaservice has appointed Hans Lip as Chief Operational Officer for the TransFollow business. Hans has been Global Sales Manager of TransFollow since 2017 and is a real expert in logistics and digitalisation, so the perfect and logical candidate for ensuring the business continuity and growth of TransFollow. We wish Hans all the best in his new executive role.
