The updated TransFollow Android App is available in the Google Playstore. Various improvements have been made and the App has a new design.
With the feedback of our users about the previous design and by the evaluation of an independent research team about the design we have made points of improvements. The last few weeks the development team has worked on the redesign of the App to implement these points for improvement.
What has changed for you as user?
The most important feature of the app, the signing of the consignment note, is improved and optimised. On all fronts:
- It is easier to find an e-CMR with the newest filters
- Improved visibility of the status of the e-CMR
- It is easier to make observations
- You will be supported during the signing process
In short: more convenience and clarity for you. We will gladly take you through all the changes …
Where are you in the app?
The navigation in the app has improved by displaying the titles of the screens actually on the screens. It is now clear at one glance in which screen you are working and what actions are expected from you. This way, it is easier to find your way through the app and to complete your workflow.
The icons, which indicate the status of the e-CMR, also received a label to make this more clear for everybody.
The most relevant information on top
The overview screen
It was already possible to filter your e-CMR by status; Issued, in transit and delivered. This has been expanded in the updated overview of the TransFollow App, you now also have the option to easily filter the e-CMR’s using the buttons at the top of the screen:
- Ongoing: Transit + Issued consignment note (with time indication of pick-up / delivery)
- To start: Draft + Issued (no time indication of pick-up / delivery)
- All: General filters
In the detail screen of the e-CMR, the most used functionalities are placed at the top of the screen; such as signing the e-CMR, adding an observation and viewing the PDF. The detail screen of the e-CMR has also been reordered: the most relevant information for the user comes first. Such as the agreements and instructions that come with the transport, because this information is important for the driver during transport. When the e-CMR has the status «to
be picked up», only the information of the consignor is shown.
Subsequently, when the e-CMR is “in transport”, the appropriate information of
the consignee is displayed. This also shows the most relevant information.
It is always possible to view all information by clicking on the + sign or to hide the information by clicking on the – sign.
Workflow of signing
With this new design, the driver is guided through the signing process. This is done by textual instructions and labels. This makes it more clear that you have actually started the signing process, where you are in the process and what is expected of you. It is now more clear that you are actually validating a process.
In addition, it is possible to re-do the signature if it is not correctly placed in the first attempt.
Adding an observation
Adding an observation has also been simplified. In addition to now being a standard button in the detail screen, adding an observation to each step is possible during the signing inspection process. In addition, you can always easily take a step back if necessary. The driver will also have the option to view a summary of the e-CMR after it has been signed by the other party (consignor or consignee).
Indication: onsite, loading and unloading
In addition to the new design of the app, we also introduce a new status registration option. Registering the «start loading/unloading» and the «End loading/unloading». In addition, the status of the e-CMR also partially changes.
When you register your arrival time with the consignor or consignee, the status of the e-CMR will change to «on site».
When registering the start of loading or unloading, the sub status changes temporarily to «loading» or «unloading.»
When it is indicated that the loading or unloading has been completed, the status returns to ‘on site’.
